Before you begin
This covers the initial settings to complete before building anything in Systeme. Allow 20–30 minutes. Have your website hosting account open and ready — you'll need it for Section 4.
Step 1
Open your Settings
Click the head icon in the top right corner, then go to Settings → Profile.
Step 2
Set your display name and upload a photo
By default your display name is your email address — change it to your trading or company name.
Change the Display name from your email to your business name
💡What to enter: Your business name plus your full postal address. UK GDPR requires an address on all marketing emails.
Step 3
Add your contact details
Fill in your name, full address, and any other publicly visible details. These appear on the footer of emails sent from Systeme.
Fill in your address — this shows on all outgoing emails
⚠️GDPR: A real address is required on emails. A registered business address or PO box is fine if you don't want to use your home address.
Step 4
Save
Click Save in the top right corner
Click Save
Step 1
Click Account in the left sidebar
Click Account in the left-hand menu
Step 2
Set your timezone and date format
Set to Greenwich Mean Time (London) and Day/Month/Year
- Timezone: Greenwich Mean Time (London)
- Date format: Day/Month/Year
- Time format: your preference
📅Getting the timezone right early matters — it affects when automations fire and when emails are scheduled.
Step 3

SettingsConnect Your Custom Domain
Step 1
Go to Custom Domains
Click Custom domains in the left sidebar
Step 2
Click Add domain
Click Add domain in the top right corner
Step 3
Enter your domain
Type your domain into the field — no https:// needed
- Root domain:
yourdomain.co.uk — use if building your whole site in Systeme
- Subdomain:
learn.yourdomain.co.uk — use if you already have a website at the root and want to keep them separate
💡A subdomain is almost always the safer option — it keeps Systeme funnels and courses separate without any risk of breaking existing pages.
Step 4
Save and close
Click Save
Close the box if it doesn't close on its own

Two ways to connect your domain
Easiest
Let Systeme handle it
Add support@systeme.io as a domain manager in your website host, then email them with the template below.
DIY
Do it yourself
Log into your website host, go to DNS settings, and add the two CNAME records manually. Steps below.
Click Show instructions to get the DNS values, or use the email template
Option A — Email Template
Ask Systeme support to handle it
Add support@systeme.io as a domain manager in your website host first, then send this:
Subject: DNS Settings Update Request — SITE NAME
Hi Systeme.io Support,
I'd like to request that the following domain and email address be added to my site's DNS settings. I have invited your team as editor to allow access.
Site: SITE URL
Domain to add: DOMAIN
Email to add: EMAIL ADDRESS
Please let me know if you need anything further to process this.
Kind regards,
YOUR NAME
Option B — Step 1
Get the DNS values from Systeme
Click your domain entry to open the DNS configuration box
Copy the Name value from the first row
Option B — Step 2
Open DNS settings in your website host
In your hosting panel — click Manage DNS (shown: Krystal)
Option B — Step 3
Add a CNAME record — paste the Name value
Add a new CNAME record and paste the Name value from Systeme into the Name/Host field
Option B — Step 4
Copy and paste the Value, then repeat for row 2
Back in Systeme — copy the Value from the first row
Paste into the Value/Hostname field in your host. Leave TTL alone. Save. Repeat for the second Systeme row.
| Type | Name | Value (from Systeme) | TTL |
| CNAME | your-domain.co.uk | d2gbr5s5lwc2s.cloudfront.net | leave as-is |
| CNAME | _ddef0ba736... (from Systeme) | _8f8840be9f4e... (from Systeme) | leave as-is |
⚠️Copy exactly from Systeme — don't retype. The second CNAME is a long validation string that must be precise. Keep your hosting tab open; you'll need it again for email settings.
